To increase the capacity, the band saw was converted into a circular saw with a double spindle and an overshot wheel in 1917. In 1934, the sawmill was further developed with a movable carriage and an improved adjustment system. Matias Brudeli then made an undershot wheel for Brøst-saga, as the saw was now called. The sawmill was in use until 1959. The new circular saw built in 2002 is a true replica of the circular saw from 1934.
